About this development

Townhouses with sea views in Riviera del Sol

Panoramic views of the sea, mountains and countryside reach into these homes from a rooftop solarium set above a gated complex. South-facing orientation brings light through the day, while a basement level adds space beyond the main living areas, and a private terrace extends the living space outdoors.

The development sits in Riviera del Sol, within Mijas, in a landscaped setting near golf and the coast. Homes come in 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, with built areas of 267–387 m². Completion is scheduled for December 2027.

Where it is

Riviera del Sol lies within Mijas, close to golf, the sea and the town, with shops and schools nearby as well. The surroundings combine an urbanisation setting with sea, mountain and countryside views, giving the complex both a coastal and a green backdrop.

The homes

The townhouses are built with 267–387 m² and include a basement, a private terrace and a solarium, with terraces measuring 140–291 m² and plots of 216–748 m². Each home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, one of them ensuite, plus a utility room and storage room. Interiors include fitted wardrobes, a kitchen-lounge layout, hot and cold air conditioning, central and underfloor heating, including underfloor heating in the bathrooms, double glazing and domotics.

The complex is gated and offers a communal pool, communal and landscaped gardens, a gym, a games room and a jacuzzi, together with garden and pool views. Parking is covered, with underground and private options, a garage and an EV charge point. Additional features include an entry phone, electric blinds, access for people with reduced mobility and fibre optic connection.

Life in Mijas

Mijas Pueblo sits on a hillside about 430 metres above the sea, a whitewashed village whose Arab-origin street plan is protected as a Conjunto Histórico-Artístico. The oval bullring, the church of the Inmaculada Concepción and the remains of the old wall, with its viewpoints, all lie within the old centre. Cut into the rock in the 17th century, the cave sanctuary of the Virgen de la Peña is dedicated to the village's patron saint, and donkey taxis still carry visitors through the streets.

Down at the coast, Mijas Costa gathers Calahonda, Riviera and La Cala de Mijas along about 12 km of shoreline. La Cala, a fishing village by tradition, has a former watchtower that now serves as an interpretation centre, and the Senda Litoral invites walkers and cyclists to follow the sea. The municipality records around 2,920 hours of sunshine a year and less than 600 mm of rain.

The calendar is led by the Feria de Mijas on 8 September, in honour of the Virgen de la Peña, with further ferias in Las Lagunas at the end of June and in La Cala at the end of July.

Renting it out

Rental income depends on the location, the home and how it is managed, and any return figure should be treated as an upper bound, not a forecast. Net income is lower than gross rent after community fees, property tax, insurance and management.

For holiday lets, Andalusia requires registration as a tourist dwelling, and a community of owners can ban them by a three-fifths vote. Check the community statutes before you buy.
